Taking a look back with a founder

This new guest post from Enradius and Needworking.com founder Dave Carberry delves into the evolution of the tech ecosystems in Baltimore and DC over the last 15 years. Few founders have had the kind of front-row seat to these scenes' growth that this entrepreneur and author has. The retrospective emphasizes that milestones in these communities are not merely time markers, but reflections of the community's progress, hurdles and achievements. Carberry's piece is part of a series celebrating Technical.ly's 15th anniversary and highlights the dynamic changes that have shaped these regions' tech landscapes over the years. And if you want to learn about this world's history since 2009, you'll definitely get a lot from this post.

Did you know that Technical.ly go its start in Philly?

Also in honor of Technical.ly's 15th anniversary is this compilation showing that Philly's tech community envisions a larger, more inclusive and robust ecosystem over the next 15 years. Since Technical.ly's inception in February 2009 by Chris Wink, Sean Blanda and Brian James Kirk, our publication has evolved to cover not only Philadelphia but also tech communities in Baltimore, DC, Delaware and Pittsburgh. The focus remains on reporting the growth and collaboration among technologists, entrepreneurs and tech-focused organizations. Here, Philly reporter Sarah Huffman compiled several ecosystem leaders' thoughts on the past and next 15 years.
