1. Melissa's Pumpkin Bars. Melissa is an excellent baker, a graduate from a culinary school in New York and a college culinary program. This is her excellent recipe.
2. Pumpkin Snacking Cake. Great recipe. Snacking cakes are moist and dense and usually served without frosting. A dollop of whipped cream or a dessert sauce, and this is ready to go.
3. Sweet Potato Pie with a Pecan Streusel and Gingersnap Crust. This is one outstanding pie! Every time I've served this, people have loved it. With step-by-step pictures.
4. Pumpkin Cheesecake in a Gingersnap Crust. This is the recipe that inspired the pie recipe above. It is equally good.
5. Chocolate Swirled Pumpkin Cheesecake. Chocolate and pumpkin is a great combination. This is chocolate filling swirled through a pumpkin filling.
6. Pumpkin Pie Squares. These are quick and easy and feed a crowd and yet taste like pumpkin pie.
7. Pumpkin and Apple Crisp. This is a very good dessert--kind of a cross between an apple pie and a pumpkin pie. Unusual but good.
8. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. This is the scratch version of my mother's cookies--a must every fall.
9. Spiced Pumpkin Bars with Orange Frosting. I love these spicy bars with the orange frosting. The spice makes them very flavorful, great for this time of year. The orange fruit flavor complements it perfectly.
