I love peanut butter! But I eat it sparingly--too many calories and too much fat. But this week I read an article on Food Network about peanut butter. Maybe I'm a little too hard on my peanut butter. Two tablespoons of peanut butter has 191 calories and 16 grams of fat but half the fat is the "good" kind. | |
It does have seven grams of protein and plenty of vitamins and minerals. The nutrients may reduce the urge to snack later in the day. Use the "good" kind of peanut butter--only peanuts and salt. That's what we use in our baking. (See the recipe for the peanut butter swirled brownies.) | |
