The water utility sent a letter to its customers blaming inflation and noting the development of an emergency fund. How much more will people have to pay for water? Prosecutors say they have enough evidence to proceed with rape-related charges against four men following the death of LSU student Madison Brooks. While the victim is no longer alive, prosecutors say they can try the case in a way similar to how homicide cases are handled. Even domestic violence cases can go to trial without the victim's wanting to cooperate. Should kids be able to check out whatever they'd like at the library, or should there be restrictions. Attorney General Jeff Landry is suggesting that there be some way for parents to limit what their children may access. One lawmaker says it's sort of like the limits that movie theaters have in place for R- and NC17-rated movies. Landry says his effort is not about banning books or censoring voices, but rather keeping young people safe from material that's inappropriate for their age. |
