The UK Department for International Trade is soliciting stakeholder input on the UK as potential signatory to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). A period of consultation is now open until 26th of October 2018. Join the BBGV Morning Seminar on “CPTPP Alert: Trade opportunities for UK Businesses” on 14 September 2018 to learn how you can make voice heard.
This seminar will discuss the possibility of the UK’s participation in the CPTPP and what it means for UK businesses in Vietnam. Attendees will hear from Frederick Burke, Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie Vietnam regarding CPTPP provisions of particular interest to British investors.
How does the CPTPP fit into the larger trade picture that is emerging post-BREXIT, including vis-à-vis the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and other pending agreements? How can UK firms take advantage of the CPTPP even if the UK does not ultimately accede to the agreement?
Expect insight on some of the key industries and areas of change, learn what the CPTPP could mean for your business and how to ensure you capitalize on the benefits.
