| When you work out, do you listen to 1 song on repeat? In case you're wondering (let's be honest, I'm going to share anyway!), I DO! I don't just listen to any song. I LOVE House and Trance music. And when I say "on repeat," I mean like for hours. This is how I got my dyslexic eyes to write the entire School of Greatness book. There was one song in particular that I was OBSESSED with while writing the book. It wasn't even the original version. It was an acoustic version of . . . Krewella's Alive. I LOVE that song. Fast forward to last week when they came by the studio to record a podcast episode. Coolest rockstar sisters ever. All about family. There were really down to earth and open about how they've managed their emotional and physical health while going from zero to hero in the music industry over the past 5 years. Amazing. Anyway, after our conversation, it got me thinking about what other habits have helped me get through the long days and nights of building a business. Here's my short list: 1. Put health first. This means working out and eating right and sleeping. I shoot for 8 hours but I'm not perfect at it. 2. Build a team around me to do the stuff I'm not good at. Game changer and lifesaver. Invest in the right people as soon as you can find them. 3. Invest in myself. Hire coaches, develop relationships with mentors, join mastermind groups, get training. Always be learning from those who know more than you. 4. Treat relationships like they're the most important thing in the world. Because they are. Never be too busy for the people in your life that matter. (This includes yourself.) I'm interested in what habits have helped YOU in going after your business/dream/creative work - what are the top habits that have saved your skin time and again?
