Now, D’Angelo and Co. are continuing the next evolutionary step in the libation world and are starting an exclusive club for Bourbon lovers. Western Reserve Distillers 

Lakewood’s Western Reserve Distillers is a cocktail lover’s paradise. The local distillery makes its own lineup of award-winning spirits from vodka to bourbon that are utilized in its extensive drink menu. The Distillery is the best place to try out a classic cocktail like a martini or a Manhattan for the first time because the bartenders expertly craft every sip. Barrelhouse 

Barrelhouse in West Akron has a dining room segregated from the bar area, with an intriguing draft selection, great wine list and menu. The build-your-own burger option is always a standby. The restaurant is located in the former Arnie’s Public House at 1682 W. Market St. (Ohio 18) and is open every day but Tuesday. DETAILS 

 

Albino Stout at Banter

“Albino” stouts don’t drink like a proper stout or porter. They’re more golden, slightly hazy with a nice head and medium body. This one drinks like a coffee cream ale with lilting notes of light-roast coffee, caramel malt (which plays a bit like Werther’s Original on the palate) and vanilla on the nose. Our latest pint of it came at the new Banter in Gordon Square, along with their Polish Boy. CHEERS
