Anthony Pro-Life America is calling on the media to ask Democrats about their views on abortion after CNN anchors Dana Bash and Jake Tapper incorrectly claimed that President Joe Biden opposes late-term abortion. The organization took to Twitter to push back on the claims, tweeting that Biden "supports the long-expired ERA which would codify a so-called 'right' to no-limits abortion into law. | | Biden slams bans on trans surgeries for kids | During remarks at the White House on Thursday, President Joe Biden slammed bills aimed at protecting children from permanent, body-mutilating sex-change surgeries, calling such moves "cruel and callous." Conservative radio show host Ben Shapiro, meanwhile, called out the White House's LGBT pride flag display, saying, "Not one American soldier fought and bled for this flag. Not one American taxpayer paid taxes to the government of this flag. Not one law has been passed under a government elected … under this flag. The ideological coup is complete." Read more. | Meta uses Bible to preserve 4,000-plus languages | Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is using the Bible and other religious texts to process more than 4,000 languages in a bid to preserve those languages. The Meta Artificial Intelligence research team turned to the Bible and other religious texts to gather data for the languages since existing speech datasets top out at no more than 100 languages. Researchers were able to create a dataset of New Testament readings in more than 1,100 languages. | | Study sheds light on virtual, in-person worship preferences | A study from Pew Research Center shows that a majority of U.S. adults who worship virtually are "highly satisfied" with the experience, but most still prefer in-person worship services. While two-thirds of regular worship service streamers expressed satisfaction with the services they watch, 74% of those who attend in person said the same. In-person attendees also reported a strong connection with other worshipers. Read more. | Will the SBC formally ban women pastors? | During the Southern Baptist Convention's Annual Meeting this week, messengers will vote on a measure that would prevent a woman from serving as a "pastor of any kind" in the denomination. The proposed amendment comes as Saddleback Church founder Rick Warren has pushed back on the church's expulsion, arguing that the church agrees with all of the denomination's beliefs—except for its stance on women pastors.
