Biden in New Orleans: President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will arrive in New Orleans today to announce new funding for a cancer detection technology formulated by Tulane University researchers. Emily Woodruff explains how the new imaging system known as MAGIC-SCAN could transform how surgeries are performed and reduce the likelihood of recurrence. 'It helped my family': After promising preliminary findings, a "universal basic income" program that began with 20 students in 2020 will expand this fall to 1,600 high school seniors at schools across New Orleans. Dubbed the “$50 Study,” the program gives students $50 a week, no strings attached, and tracks their academic and financial progress. Marie Fazio has the story. Remembering Scuttlebutt: The iconic hot pink Scuttlebutt Gentlemen's Club in Slidell closed years ago, yet still brings laughter and joy to those who remember it.
