Lunchbox bought, filled, labelled. Ice brick frozen. Bag packed. Books wrapped. Uniform ready.
If you’ve just become a school parent like me, you might be bumping around a maze of strange emotions…a bit sad, excited or anxious. You marvel at how big their new school bag is, but you remember how small they used to be. You recall how you longed for them to walk, as you watch them walk away from you, letting go of their little hand in a way you haven’t before.
You realise you need to breathe and have faith and as you celebrate your child’s first week of school for 2021, remember; parenting is pretending you know what you’re doing 89 percent of the time - the rest is just making up statistics.
