Three bills advancing in the state legislature would would dismantle the 2017 overhaul of Louisiana’s criminal justice system. The measures seek to all but eliminate parole, limit prisoners’ ability to shorten sentences for good behavior and broaden punishments for parole violations. The New Orleans metro area has two confirmed cases of measles, the extremely contagious disease considered eliminated in the U.S. two decades ago. Emily Woodruff has the details.

First there was Neuty, now there's Saffron. Following the outcry after authorities seized a pet nutria last year, another adopted animal has been taken from its owner.
