Regional Roundup
Question of the Week
Tuesday we asked: A new minor league arena football team begins play on Saturday at the DCU Center in Worcester: the Massachusetts Pirates of the National Arena League.
How popular will Worcester's new arena football team be?
  • I would love to see the Pirates succeed. I am afraid they have not done enough to get people excited for this season though. Hopefully that will pick up once the team actually starts playing.
  • It will be good if they get the marketing right. Keep the football excitement going in the pro off-season, etc. Since no baseball confirmed for the city, it could be a good fill in. Also, downtown is slowly changing for the better, and that could be a factor. Go Pirates!!
  • No shot. It's just not a high quality product, period.
