Galoy Brings U.S. Dollars To Bitcoin's Lightning Network
By Namcios Galoy Inc. the team behind the wallet of El Salvador's bitcoin circular economy Bitcoin Beach released two announcements: - Introducing Stablesats: a bitcoin-backed synthetic U.S. dollars.
- Raising $4 million to further develop GaloyMoney, its open source Bitcoin banking platform.
Stablesats offers a stable dollar balance backed by bitcoin through inverse perpetual swaps. The idea behind Stablesats is simple: the user will now be able to hold U.S. dollar in their wallet application, while the technology under the hood will be enabling a short or long trade in order to keep the value of dollar's stable for the user.
The risks of this implementation seem to be mainly from the counter party holding the user's assets as collateral, and liquidity issues, which as we have seen in the last couple of months, are not uncommon. |

The BlockSize War’s Cyber-Soldier Freedom-Fighters

A “war” between those in pursuit of personal and quick profit and those with the ultimate goal of freedom. On the surface the battle was about the amount of data allowed in each Bitcoin block, but in reality it exposed much deeper issues, such as who controls Bitcoin’s protocol rules.

It is a way of saying that reality doesn't matter and that the opinion of the masses can trump facts. But not only that, one of the most irritating aspects about politics is that when people discuss it , everyone is the smug, arrogant, smart aleck who thinks they know everything.
Fortunately, smart and woke people that acknowledge the decadence of our civilization have a powerful weapon that not even the most charismatic politician in the world will be able to evade: Bitcoin. The BlockSize War demonstrated that Bitcoin can resist political processes because changes require consensus. Bitcoin is anti-political and can, once and for all, take politics out of the equation. |
