Virgil Abloh, the artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection, died on Sunday, 28 November 2021.

On Monday, South African musician Black Coffee paid tribute to Abloh on the first anniversary of his death.

Black Coffee – real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo – and Abloh developed a close friendship after working on different projects, including Black Coffee's Fashion, Art and Music Academy, which Abloh designed.

In a 2018 interview with Billboard, Black Coffee shared more about different projects he and Abloh had worked on together and the plans they had for the future.
