BREAKING: The FCC has just voted along party lines to approve the T-Mobile/Sprint merger.
That’s right: This dangerous deal that would crush competition, raise prices, eliminate thousands of jobs and leave the United States with only three viable nationwide wireless-service providers is one step closer to becoming a reality.
Now it’s up to the courts to decide. Attorneys general from more than a dozen states and the District of Columbia have joined a lawsuit to block the merger, which could save the day. But state AGs are facing enormous pressure from T-Mobile to drop the case and two states (Mississippi and Colorado) have already caved and settled.
We need the remaining states to hold strong in their lawsuit to block this merger, and your state is a crucial part of this. Call California Attorney General Xavier Becerra at 202-849-9287 and encourage him to stay in the fight.
