Hi John! Oh boy, it's been a minute since I've reached out. Summer has swept me up in a whirlwind, and I've fallen off my regular writing habit. But you know what? That's okay! Life ebbs and flows, and there are seasons for everything. Some are slow, some fast, some intense, some spacious, and some...unexpected. (Like my dad's recent surgery - thankfully, he's on the mend!) I'm still creating art, though not quite every day. And I want you to know that it's perfectly fine if you, too, struggle to keep up with your art journal or set up art projects for your little ones. Let's agree to be gentle with ourselves. If you need a creative boost, here's a sneak peek from an Art Prompt Card Deck I'm working on. Bold Line Art RefresherMaterials: Heavy paper or sketchbook Scrap paper Glue Paint Flat brushStart with paper with existing marks (think phone book pages, wrapping paper, newspaper, or junk mail). Alternatively, glue scrap paper onto heavy paper or your sketchbook. Choose a thick tool and make bold lines on this paper. Add embellishments as you please.
Remember, go easy on yourself and enjoy the process! I'm curious: Where are you in your creative rhythm right now? Feel free to reply or fill out the poll and let me know! Creatively yours, Rachelle PS. If you'd like to try making art in the mornings, check out The Morning Art Routine
