🌧️ A clipper system is moving through the region Tuesday bringing a few rain and snow showers. Precipitation will be minimal for most of the state.
🌡️ Temperatures will continue to warm through the week to reach their peak Friday. Highs will be in the 60s and 70s across southern Minnesota Friday ahead of a weekend storm system.

📖 ACLU of Minnesota, Education Minnesota file suits against St. Francis schools book policy. The policy requires books in school libraries be filtered through a book rating site, Book Looks, which is backed by conservatives. Both suits argue that banning books violates Minnesota constitutional and state law.
🏛️ Eichorn tried to obstruct investigation and lied about having a gun, prosecutors say. In court documents filed Sunday, prosecutors say Eichorn, who has been charged for attempted coercion and enticement of a minor, lied about having access to a firearm and tried to keep a cell phone and laptop from investigators.
🏗️ ‘Build on it’: A new exhibition at the U looks at the legacy of women architects in Minnesota. A new exhibit at the University of Minnesota highlights the overlooked contributions of women architects in Minnesota from the 1920s to today.
🚨 MnDOT warns of E-ZPass text scams demanding outstanding toll fines. Texts tell recipients they have an invoice, bill or violation with E-ZPass. The messages often look urgent and say failure to pay will lead to a bigger fine.
⚡ Xcel Energy wants to store more spent fuel at Prairie Island nuclear plant. Xcel has said continuing to operate its nuclear generators is critical to its plan to deliver carbon-free electricity. Spent fuel storage has a history of controversy at the plant, which is just 700 yards from the Prairie Island Indian Community.
🌲 Emerald ash borer found in Aitkin County, now confirmed in 54 of Minnesota’s 87 counties. Emerald ash borer was first confirmed in Minnesota in 2009. It kills ash trees by tunneling under the bark and cutting off nutrients.
❌ Burning restrictions in place in 15 Minnesota counties, including in the Twin Cities. The restrictions apply to Anoka, Benton, Chisago, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, Ramsey, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, Washington and Wright counties. Dry conditions are causing higher risk of wildfires.
🪧 University of Minnesota resident physicians announce intent to unionize. Organizers say a supermajority of the university’s group of nearly 1,000 residents and fellows voted in favor of unionizing. Residents said they want to address long hours, hard working conditions and low pay.
🐮 Stearns County dairy herd tests positive for avian flu. The H5N1 virus appeared in samples collected from a Stearns County herd. A national lab confirmed the results on March 21. The state Board of Animal Health has quarantined the herd until tests show it's no longer infected.
