Anthony Bradford apparently feels his time has come. And now his time is done at LSU. The redshirt junior guard announced Friday he is making himself available for the NFL Draft. It looked at first as though the Tigers would bring back their entire offensive line on the heels of their 63-7 Citrus Bowl rout of Purdue. Now that won't be the case, but our Wilson Alexander says the Tigers have options to replace Bradford for the 2023 season. Meanwhile, the LSU men's basketball team is back on the court after a tough but gutsy 74-71 loss at Kentucky. The Tigers play Saturday at Texas A&M (5 p.m., SEC Network). Sheldon Mickles tells us where coach Matt McMahon thinks his Tigers need to improve after their loss to the Wildcats. If you haven't seen LSU women's basketball forward Angel Reese play, you're missing out. The Maryland transfer is playing at an All-American pace, putting up record-breaking numbers in the Tigers' romp over the Texas A&M women's team Thursday. No. 7-ranked LSU (15-0, 3-0 SEC) is aiming for the best start in program history with a win Sunday at Kentucky. Finally, the No. 6-ranked LSU gymnastics team opened its 2023 season Friday with a meet at No. 3 Utah. The result? A mixed bag for the Tigers, who showed toughness but also came up short of the goal of a 197-plus score in a 197.275-196.775 score in Salt Lake City. As always, thanks for following our LSU coverage and subscribing to our newsletter. And now for a shameless plug: I'm in the other LA for the CFP Championship Game on Monday between Georgia and TCU. Please give my stuff a read as well. There are certainly some Louisiana angles to pursue in the matchup between the Bulldogs and Horned Frogs. Who are you pulling for? Georgia out of SEC pride, or TCU because they're the underdog and a Georgia win only makes the Bulldogs that much tougher of a rival for LSU? Until next time, Scott Rabalais |
