Last week the decision was made to postpone COP 26 which was due to take place at the end of this year in Glasgow. Given the current context surrounding COVID-19, this is a sad but understandable decision.

Rest assured, it hasn't weakened our resolve in the fight against climate change. Quite the opposite. Now more than ever we must stay focused in order to minimise the risks posed to us in future. It is time to harness this incredible collective resolve we have found in the face of such an unprecedented crisis to address our ongoing climate challenges.

It is now clear that climate change will have far-reaching impacts on our global system. The recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) have transformed the landscape for corporate climate disclosures since their release in 2017. With wide spread support, it is anticipated that alignment will become mandatory in the near future.
