| | A federal judge in Washington, D.C., today halted the Trump administration’s ban on new downloads of TikTok, hours before a midnight deadline would have compelled Apple and Google to drop the popular social media app from their marketplaces. However, the app isn't out of the woods yet. A looming November deadline could effectively end TikTok's operations in the U.S. if it fails to spin off a U.S.-based "TikTok Global" through a proposed partnership involving Oracle and Walmart.
