BREAKING: Judge rules Trump's sweeping plan to persuade federal workers to resign can move forward

A federal judge in Boston lifted his temporary freeze on President Donald Trump's unprecedented offer for millions of federal workers to resign, allowing the administration's effort to reduce the federal workforce to proceed.

U.S. District Judge George A. O’Toole Jr. last week temporarily halted the administration’s offer of mass buyouts to millions of government workers just hours before a deadline for employees to accept the offer. In his new ruling, the judge found that the unions who brought the suit lacked legal standing to challenge Trump's plan.
