| A massive fire ripped through a 24-story apartment complex in the North Kensington area of west London early Wednesday, killing at least six people, the London Metropolitan Police said. The death toll was expected to rise. At least 50 people were sent to the hospital as a result of the blaze. Witnesses reported seeing people jumping from their apartments to escape the fire, which engulfed the upper floors of the building, according to the BBC.
