US Billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson has died in the United States on the evening of January 11 at the age of 87 from complications related to treatment for non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, according to a statement from Las Vegas Sands . The  Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Macau gaming operator Sands China took a medical leave of absence on January 7 from his positions as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in order to receive further treatment for lymphoma.

The tycoon revealed in March 2019 that he was being treated for non-hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system.
