BREAKING NEWS: June Housing Starts Rise 4.8%

Housing starts came in at an annual rate of 1.189 million in June. That topped the estimate for 1.170 million. Building permits, which are a sign of future activity, came in at 1.153 million. The estimate was for 1.150 million.
