Nicola Sturgeon reveals when Covid restrictions will be lifted

The First Minister has outlined key dates for the easing of all coronavirus restrictions in Scotland. 

At a briefing this afternoon, Nicola Sturgeon confirmed the planned move to Level Zero on June 28 will be delayed until mid July. 

She has also announced when the remaining major restrictions will be lifted after that

 

Highest daily Covid cases since January 

It comes as case numbers have almost doubled in the last 24 hours - to the highest daily figure recorded since January 8.

More than 2,000 new positive Covid tests have been reported by the Scottish Government today. 

However, it is thought that server issues over the weekend could have something to do with the rise
