First fall in weekly deaths in months This week's coronavirus figures show the first fall in weekly Covid-19 deaths since the end of September. Announcing the news at today's briefing, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said it was "good news" but any feeling of relief "must be tempered with the recognition the number of deaths is still far too high". 'If you can get through Christmas staying at home then do that' Nicola Sturgeon has urged people to stay at home over Christmas as much as possible.
