Rickey Henderson, a baseball Hall of Famer and one of the game’s most enduring players, has died at 65, Major League Baseball confirmed Saturday. Henderson ranks as the greatest base stealer in MLB history, with 1,406 stolen bases (and 335 times caught stealing) as well as 2,295 runs scored. He made his MLB debut at just 20 years old for the Oakland Athletics, and ended his vaunted career with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2003. |
