Overstock is an American retailer that was launched in 1999 by Patrick Byrne. Just recently, Byrne, the acting CEO of the company, decided to sell off his $90 million stake in the company. Byrne has announced that any proceeds from the liquidation, following taxes and additional fees, will be used to purchase counter-cyclical investments such as gold and cryptocurrency.
