Top Stories for October 30, 2020 🔥 A second retroactive UNI airdrop may soon be on the cards for Uniswap, as a proposal is on track to reach quorum within the next 24 hours. The proposal is for a retroactive distribution of UNI tokens to users who interacted with Uniswap via proxy contracts. Users of such contracts did not receive the original airdrop, however left out many users who indirectly used the protocol. If passed, more than 12,000 wallets will receive 400 UNI each, with a total allocation of 5.05 million tokens. The new Huawei Mate 40 mobile phone was released today, featuring a built-in wallet which is compatible with the new Chinese central bank digital currency (CBDC). The phone will provide hardware-level security for the CBDC, also known as DC/EP, and will even be able to initiate transactions offline. Cryptocurrency exchange OKEx is making plans to support the upcoming Bitcoin Cash fork, despite its founder's recent arrest and withdrawals still being disabled on the platform. The Bitcoin Cash hard-fork is expected to take place on November 15, after an update proposal was passed in August. OKEx says users holding BCH will receive both sides of the fork, BCH ABC and BCHN. |
