More specifically, BlackRock has revealed that it is currently examining crypto assets, stablecoins, permissioned blockchains and the concept of tokenization – citing increasing interest in the sector from their clients. The firm most recently partnered with crypto payments firm Circle as a strategic advisor, announced yesterday. The leading Latin American delivery service, Rappi, is trialling accepting crypto for payments via Bitso and Bitpay. A trial project is underway in Mexico, which will allow customers to swap crypto for credits on the platform that can in turn be used to complete purchases. Rappi intends to make it easy for consumers to connect digital wallets and exchange accounts to use the service.
