Buc-ee's really likes Lafayette

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Staff writer

Just in case you missed the news late Friday, Buc-ee's is a done deal. My daily Buc-ee's watch finally ended Friday afternoon when the sale documents hit the land records database at the courthouse.

The official announcement came about 30 minutes later.

Here's the thing: If everything goes according to plan, the Lafayette store could be the first to open in Louisiana and steal the thunder from Ruston, which announced its Buc-ee's store almost two years ago.

Both stores are targeting mid-2026 for an expected opening.

You can read my story here.

Have a great day and thanks for reading.
