Voornaam, This is a pivotal moment for Democrats to stand in solidarity with workers in Oregon and across the country. Over the course of the pandemic, what so many of us have known for years has come into crystal clear focus: that working people are essential to keeping our country moving, keeping us safe, healthy, fed, and so much more. Now, our job is to make sure that Democrats pass President Biden's Build Back Better agenda, and ensure that our recovery from the pandemic puts working people first and creates an economy that doesn't leave people behind. We must rebuild and re-imagine America's infrastructure, putting millions of Americans to work at good-paying jobs while tackling the climate crisis head-on. We must pass the PRO Act to build the labor movement, empower workers, and support workers' rights. And we must invest in Oregonian workers and families by making the expanded child tax credits permanent and passing transformative investments in health care, the care economy, and more. All this is only possible because together, we won Democratic majorities in the House and Senate and elected Joe Biden, a dedicated ally of unions and workers. On Monday, join us and Oregon's labor movement as we re-commit ourselves to this fight and the fight to improve the lives of workers and families in Oregon and across America, and tune in to the 2021 Oregon Virtual Labor Day Celebration.
This Labor Day, Oregon Democrats are also proud to stand in solidarity with all those at the Nabisco facility in Northeast Portland and across the country demanding a fair contract. As you're celebrating this weekend, remember: No contract, no snacks. In solidarity, KC Hanson
