| Keeping Australia top of mind through international publications To reach incentive and association decision-makers in key markets, BEA undertakes a comprehensive media buy across influential publications in target markets to highlight Australian destinations, business events offerings and expertise. Recently, we’ve popped Australian space junk expertise into the inboxes of association decision-makers in the UK and Europe and a tantalising glimpse of Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef into incentive planners’ inboxes across the USA. BEA also introduced an Australian destinations feature in the January edition of CMW Magazine in the UK. |
| | Taking NZ buyers to regional Victoria Business Events Australia teamed up with a New Zealand event agency to host a group of their clients for lunch at the winery Montalto on the Mornington Peninsula in regional Victoria in January before the group headed to the Australian Open in Melbourne. “Partnering with key business event agencies on activity that enables us to reach their corporate customers helps raise Australia’s appeal, builds stronger awareness with the end-user and ultimately helps drive conversion of new business for Australian industry,” says Jenny Aitken, BEA’s in market representative for New Zealand. |
Ramping up educational visits With first-hand experience of Australia one of the strongest drivers of increased consideration of Australia as an event destination, BEA is planning 10 educational visits inviting decision-makers from key markets to immerse themselves in various Australian destinations in 2020. The first of these will be a New Zealand group visiting Cairns and Port Douglas in April. |
