Welcome to the first Business Events Australia industry newsletter for 2025, with the latest updates on Tourism Australia’s marketing and distribution activities to drive demand and support for Australia’s business events industry.

AUSTRALIA NEXT 2025

Australia Next 2025 will be held in Melbourne / Narrm, in partnership with Melbourne Convention Bureau, from the 1 to 3 December 2025. The incentive showcase is designed to increase awareness of Australia as an outstanding incentive destination. The event provides the Australian business events industry with the opportunity to connect with qualified incentive buyers from around the world, while showcasing Australia’s best incentive experiences and products.

SEE YOU AT AIME

Tourism Australia’s specialist business unit, Business Events Australia will be attending AIME in February 2025 to meet with international business events planners, connect with Australian industry and to host a tailored familiarisation with a group of professional conference organisers and media, to showcase why there’s nothing like Australia for business events. Connect with the team if you would like an update on Australia or our upcoming activity.

ICA CASE STUDY

The 74th International Communications Association (ICA) Conference, held on the Gold Coast in June 2024, welcomed more than 4,000 leading academics, researchers, and industry professionals from across Australia and the world to discuss the latest trends, research, and advancements in communication. The attraction of the conference to Australia and the Gold Coast was a collaborative bid effort by Experience Gold Coast and Tourism and Events Queensland with support also provided via Tourism Australia’s Business Events Bid Fund Program.

As part of our business events distribution strategy to drive demand for Australia, Tourism Australia provides opportunities throughout the year to connect with planners. Registrations are closing now for the following events:

Business Events Australia Greater China Showcase 2025 will be held in Xiamen, China from Monday 31 March to Wednesday 2 April 2025. The event is designed to provide Australian industry sellers with a platform to develop relationships with incentive agents and corporate customers from Greater China as well as provide insights into market trends.

Join the Australia stand at IMEX Frankfurt 2025 to be held Monday 19 May to Thursday 22 May 2025. IMEX Frankfurt is a key business events exhibition where international planners from the conference, convention and corporate events industries gather to do business.
