Expressions of Interest are open for people and organisations wanting to accelerate the growth of their ocean-related innovations, or invest in and support such ventures.

Blue Gravity is one of eight entrepreneur and investor programs to share in grants totalling $616,240 from the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation’s X-TEND WA program which supports the commercialisation of WA innovations.

A Covid-19 toolkit for your business

Whether you’re a business owner or you manage a venue, it is important to keep your staff, customers and community safe from the risks of COVID-19. It is increasingly likely that COVID-19 will affect small businesses in City Cockburn. The Small Business Development Corporation has put together a practical toolkit to assist businesses owners to prepare for, and manage, the impact of the virus at the workplace.

COVID-19 Government Grants

The $72 million Level 2 COVID-19 Business Assistance Package is the fifth business support package made available since December – but what’s different about this round of funding is that it is available to all business types, and sizes, in the event they are dramatically impacted by COVID-19.
The package includes a $66.8 million Small Business Hardship Grants Program, $2.8 million of payroll tax relief for large hospitality businesses and $2.1 million for professional sport teams.
Eligible businesses that apply and receive funding from other recent business support programs, including the Level 1 COVID-19 Business Assistance Package, are also eligible to receive grants from the Level 2 package.

Free mental health coaching program

NewAccess for Small Business Owners is a free and confidential mental health coaching program, developed by Beyond Blue to give small business owners, including sole traders the support they need.

The program uses Low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LiCBT) that allows participants to recognise the way they think, act, and feel and break unhelpful thoughts.

Over six sessions, coaches with a small business background will work with you to overcome difficult issues, providing you with practical skills to manage stress and get you back to feeling like yourself with a program tailored to your individual needs.
