Business grants up to $5,000! Want to improve your business or start-up, but need more funds? If your idea enhances your neighbourhood or involves technology and innovation, you may be eligible for the City’s Business Grants of up to $5,000. What can I apply for? Grants of up to $5,000 are available in the following streams: Technology/digital enhancements Enhancements to local retail and employment centres Promotion of innovation Assisting businesses with COVID-19 recovery. Projects must be delivered within 12 months, with an acquittal submitted within one month of completion. The first round closes at 4pm on Friday 26 March. Applications will be assessed and awarded on an ongoing basis. |

City launches Women in Business Program Over 100 Cockburn women came together to celebrate International Women's Day, and to launch the City's inaugural Women in Business Program on Monday morning. Led by the speaker and facilitator Kate Hewett, the group heard about the upcoming program, which is being facilitated by Pink Owls Consultants in conjunction with Business Station, as part of the Australian Small Business Advisory Service (ASBAS) program. Who is the program for? The Women in Business Program is designed for women: Wanting to create another income stream Starting a small business Needing a boost of motivation and direction in their current business. Program outline The program consists of two workshops and a 1:1 mentoring session, offered at three convenient timeslots: • Workshop 1: Wednesday 17 March 7.30-9.30am | 10am-midday | 7-9pm • Workshop 2: Wednesday 31 March 7.30-9.30am | 10am-midday | 7-9pm • Mentoring session (Optional) - at a time that suits you. Workshops will be held in the Upstairs Function Room, Administration Building, 9 Coleville Crescent, Spearwood. |
