MEDIA WINNER: Shannon Bream Fox News Sunday anchor Shannon Bream was impressively persistent when pressing newly elected Arizona Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. In an interview on Sunday, Bream asked Sanders if she plans to back Trump in 2024, noting that the bio on Sanders' official page as governor describes her as a "trusted confidant of President Trump." Sanders effusively praised her former boss — as is tradition — yet did not go so far as to back him, adding, "right now, my focus isn’t 2024." Bream didn’t give up, asking Sanders if she was waiting to see who else enters the primary. Sanders sidestepped yet again, so the Fox News anchor tried once more, and pointed to a New York Magazine column from 2021 in which Sanders was floated as a potential vice presidential candidate for either Trump or Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL). Yet another time, Sanders refused to answer the question. While she didn't get a straight answer from Sanders, Bream raised an important question for any Republican — and asked all the right follow-up questions. |
