MEDIA WINNER: New York Times' Maggie Haberman
After making headlines for weeks, Maggie Haberman's new bombshell book on former President Donald Trump is finally out -- and it's topping the New York Times' best-seller list.
Haberman's book, Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America, contains countless previously unreported scoops and bizarre incidents about the former commander-in-chief.
According to the book, Trump nearly fired his own daughter, Ivanka Trump, and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, by tweet. He also reportedly mocked Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's failing health before her passing in 2020 andhad absolutely no idea how Congress works.
Haberman even interviewed Trump three times for her book, getting him to let his guard down and admit he had "incredible things” in his possession after departing the White House. The FBI has since raided Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in search of classified documents.
The interviews caught the attention of former Fox News host and podcaster Bill O’Reilly, whobitterly complained about the book while sitting down with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo on Wednesday. "The reason my book, Killing the Legends isn't number one is because Maggie Haberman's book, another 'Hate Trump book,' and she’s written like 18 of them, all right, is number one," said O'Reilly, despite the fact that Haberman has written two books.
"Now, Trump gave her three interviews! To a woman who has slashed him for six years!" he added.
Well, there is a reason Haberman has been coined the "Trump-whisperer."
Her book, now sitting pretty at number one, not only breaks news on the Trump White House, but also gives readers a look into the former president's character. |
