Jazz @The CAM The Batuquê Trio Thursday, March 2nd, 6:30-8:00 PM Newcomers to the Jazz @The CAM concert series, the Batuquê Trio offer blends of a myriad of Latin jazz styles, from the folkloric roots of Cuban and Brazilian music to contemporary trends in Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and Caribbean jazz. Comprised of Jamaal Baptiste - piano, Natalie Boeyink -bass, violin, piano and composer and Andy Smith - drummer and composer; Batuquê refers to Afro-Brazilian polyrhythmic drumming and dance.
