Dear Voornaam,

Happy Friday. We have a range of goodies to serve up in The Scotsman this weekend.

Of course, the main event is happening at Murrayfield tomorrow when Scotland take on England in the Calcutta Cup. We are proud to host unrivalled rugby coverage on The Scotsman and Graham Bean has been looking at all the angles ahead of the famous clash. Fraser Brown meanwhile also gives us his thoughts saying Scotland should "embrace the favourites tag". The team is busy putting the finishing touches to a huge preview for tomorrow online and in print. I'm heading to Murrayfield tomorrow and I'm already nervous.

Meanwhile, The Magazine tomorrow leads with Aidan Smith's fantastic long-read interview with Hue and Cry's Pat and Greg Kane. The Labour of Love duo talk about their famous feuding and why that's all in the past. The interview is running for subscribers online already as a Friday evening treat.

Aidan has also been wrapping up the week's best TV and focuses on ITV's much-talked about Covid drama Breathtaking. His verdict - brilliant but almost unwatchable.

In news, Education Correspondent Calum Ross has been looking at plans to cut over 170 teachers in Glasgow, while we have been catching up today with Labour's Ian Murray after a dramatic week in the Commons.

Much more in print and online tomorrow in the bumper Saturday edition. Whatever you are doing, I hope you have a relaxing weekend and are able to start it with us.

C'mon Scotland!

Alan
