Seeing preschool as a high-quality childcare option

 

There have been numerous studies about whether pre-K is beneficial to child development, but the results remain inconclusive. Even if preschool doesn’t improve children’s later life prospects, it still provides high-quality childcare for low-income working parents. That care allows parents to work, knowing that their children are in a safe and stimulating environment, Isabel V. Sawhill says.
