Back in the 18th Century, Swedenâs King Frederick I was presented with an impressive hunting trophy: the pelt and bones of an African Lion. Excited to show off his new prize, the king commissioned the royal taxidermist to stuff and mount the beast for his hall. There was only one problem: this man had never seen a lion before. The taxidermist tried his best using the tools and parts he had available, but the result was one of the most unfortunate-looking taxidermy animals ever. Not only did he get the lionâs body shape completely wrong, but the face looks like a cartoon character with big googly eyes. To make matters worse, a long, drooping tongue is hanging out of the lionâs ridiculous, oversized mouth. At least the king didnât need a court jester to make his guests laugh anymore.
Google search âKing Frederick lionâ and prepare to laugh yourself silly.
