It’s the Verstappen v Hamilton showdown
It feels like Formula 1 fandom hit a frenzy this week, long before the cars hit the track in Abu Dhabi for free practice. My advice: Take a breath! It’s way too soon to get over excited. So nice to see Red Bull’s Christian Horner and his Mercedes counterpart Toto Wolff shaking hands and wishing each other luck in their press conference today. Lots of things have been said as this rollercoaster of a season has delivered shocks, surprises, collisions and drama. Each has fought his corner against the other, and that’s how it should be. Both Mercedes and Red Bull have fought a great game, and there’s no doubt Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are the best at what they do. Now they just need to settle it, one way or the other, on Sunday evening. May the best man win. By: Charles Bradley, Global Editor in Chief Motorsport.com |
