(John Ernst via Flickr) TODAY’S DAILY DIGIT A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10. 9/10: A little warmer than my ’10-zone,’ but sunshine and fairly low humidity are a fine way to finish the weekend! EXPRESS FORECAST Today: Mostly sunny and dry. Highs: Mid-to-upper 80s. Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows: Low-to-mid 60s. Tomorrow: Increasing PM clouds, t’storms late? Highs: Mid-to-upper 80s. View the current weather conditions at The Washington Post. FORECAST IN DETAIL We’re a tad warmer and a bit less humid today–quite nice for the last weekend in June. But humidity rises again tomorrow ahead of our next cold front, which brings the potential for showers and storms late tomorrow and especially tomorrow night, with perhaps a lingering chance on Tuesday. With any luck, the front clears the area by Wednesday, but that’s not a sure bet yet. Today (Sunday): Mostly sunny skies shine down on us once again today as we go 2-for-2 on the weekend. Highs head for the mid-to-upper 80s, with only a few clouds floating through blue skies. The breeze is a gentle one, around 5-10 mph from the south-southeast, with fairly low humidity (dew points mainly in the 50s). Hard to beat for late June! Confidence: High Tonight: Skies stay mostly clear through the evening and into the overnight, but some clouds may begin to move in late as moisture levels pick up a bit. There’s not much to the nighttime forecast other than that, as winds continue light out of the south and lows settle in the low-to-mid 60s. Confidence: High |
