FORECAST IN DETAIL June finishes seasonably quiet, appropriate I guess, since the month as a whole will end up very close to normal for both temperatures and precipitation. We may have to put up with a few scattered thundershowers as a cold front pushes through Friday but it’s a small price to pay for a mild, dry weekend. However, Mother Nature may provide her own fireworks for the 4th of July with possible showers and storms. For the beachgoers, check out the Beachcast at the bottom of the forecast page. Today (Thursday): There is plenty of sun but clouds pop up in the afternoon as temps heat up. Winds are light and variable (I love that phrase!) Highs top out in the low-to-mid 80s with moderate humidity (dew points in the 50s early on rising to near 60). Confidence: High Tonight: By evening, a few isolated showers (maybe a rumble) are possible but are most likely well south and east of the city. Breezes decide to come exclusively from the southeast but are still very light. Lows hold in the mid-to-upper 60s in the suburbs but lower 70s downtown. Humidity rises steadily overnight.
