FORECAST IN DETAIL

Our first day of the new month is close to average for this time of year, but it’s only temporary. Temperatures surge into record territory tomorrow and Thursday. Another cool front carves through for Friday and the weekend, delivering more fall-like weather.

Today (Tuesday): After a cool morning, we watch temperatures advance into the lower to middle 60s today under partly sunny skies. Low humidity and light breezes from the south at 5 to 10 mph make for a decent day overall. Cloud cover may increase a bit more by middle to late afternoon.  Confidence: High

Tonight: Mostly cloudy and not as cool with lows ranging from the middle 40s in the outer suburbs to the middle 50s right in the city. Light winds from the south again at 5 to 10 mph. Confidence: High

NICE DAY USE THIS ONE nice_day

Tomorrow (Wednesday): Mostly sunny and much warmer with highs in the lower to middle 70s. With dew points mostly in the 50s, it should be a comfortable day for everyone. The main risk may be a few extra clouds at times in the afternoon, but we should see sufficient sunshine to trigger a Nice Day status! Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy and mild with lows only dropping to the middle 50s to low 60s range along with light breezes. Confidence: High

A LOOK AHEAD

Thursday aims to be our warmest day with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Highs surge into the middle to upper 70s with a few spots touching 80! We have a chance of showers in the later afternoon into evening — nothing major. Those showers remain scattered into the evening hours. Temperatures drop a bit more later Thursday night toward the middle 40s to low 50s. Confidence: Medium-high

Friday finds us back in more typical November weather. Highs manage the upper 50s to low 60s under mostly sunny skies and low humidity. Friday night should see partly cloudy conditions with lows in the upper 30s to middle 40s. Confidence: Medium-high

Our first weekend of November should be fairly nice and seasonal with sunny skies, highs around 60 both days, and lows Saturday night ranging through the 40s. Confidence: Medium-high
