FORECAST IN DETAIL The disorienting wave of warmth continues into Wednesday, forcing us to double check the calendar to remember what time of year it is. Record high temperatures are likely today even though sunshine is disrupted by clouds and showers. But there will still be plenty of warm highs in the 60s tomorrow before the cold from moves through. Precipitation could change to snow late Wednesday night into Thursday, with some accumulation chances north and west of the city. We stay cold into Friday before another round of spring-like warming this weekend. Today (Tuesday): Partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of showers until midday. Highs rocket up into the middle 60s to around 70 (the current record high at National Airport is 64!). Winds blow stronger from the south at 10-15 mph with gusts to 20-25 at times. Rainfall totals less than a tenth of an inch. Confidence: Medium-high Tonight: Partly cloudy with light overnight showers possible. Very warm as temperatures hold in the 50s. Those breezes keep going though too with 10-15 mph winds from the southwest along with occasional gusts up to about 20 mph.
