EXPRESS FORECAST Today: Mostly sunny, cold, strong AM winds. Highs: Upper 40s to low 50s. Tonight: Much lighter winds, increasing clouds. Lows: Mid-30s to mid-40s. Tomorrow: Partly sunny, period of showers likely. Highs: Upper 50s to near 70. FORECAST IN DETAIL We’ve got a multitude of warnings and advisories still in effect for parts of the area this morning. In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s a tad windy out there. We’re in for not just raucous winds today, but a roller-coaster week of weather with erratic temperatures, multiple bouts of gusty winds, a couple chances of sub-freezing temperatures, and a batch of showers for good measure. For today, though, the story is the wind and cold… Today (Sunday): The good news is, the winds diminish by afternoon. The bad news is, they’ll gust up to near 45 mph from the west-northwest during the morning, before decreasing to 20-30 mph this afternoon. Some other good news–we’ll have mostly sunny skies, and yet temperatures are in for a struggle. Highs only manage the upper 40s to low 50s, and with the wind, it feels like the 20s and 30s for much of the day. Confidence: High Tonight: Winds become light this evening, and then pick up a bit overnight, coming from the south around 10-15 mph. Clouds are on the increase with a warm front just to our north, and that should keep temperatures from falling off a whole bunch, as lows range from the mid-30s to mid-40s.
