Giving What You Can | Capricorn Horoscope November 19, 2018 Your loved ones may call upon you for support today, and you may be dismayed to discover that there is little you can do to aid them directly. Because you are likely in an accommodating mood, your first impulse will likely be to do all you can to take the burden off of the shoulders of friends and family. Consider, however, that the challenges they are facing may be important to their larger journeys of evolution, which means they must face them alone. You can still comfort them and give them support today, and this small contribution to their wellbeing may be precisely what they need at this point in their struggle. Oftentimes, the only gifts we can give our relatives and friends are sincere love and solid emotional support. There are many trials and tribulations human beings must face on their own, without the direct assistance of outside aid. Yet even when the people we care about are coping with the stresses of such incidents, we can nonetheless comfort them so that they are ready to face the next round of challenges. We may not always understand how much our reassurance means to our loved ones because we cannot see the impact it is having on their overall experience. It is likely, however, that our meager gifts are helping the important individuals in our lives to persevere through difficulties so they can emerge unscathed on the other side. When you do what you can to smooth your loved ones' paths today, they will forever appreciate your contribution to their wellbeing. | DailyOM Course Spotlight by Catherine Ann Jones Our lives may be determined less by past events than by the way we remember them. You are invited to come aboard this inner adventure that offers a step by step journey of discovery and re-visioning through focused journaling. Telling stories about our past through focused journaling can help change our perspectives to enable healing and empowerment. In this way, we are able to make meaning out of memory and put the past where it belongs - behind us. Healing and transformation are only possible through changing one's perspective from within. In this way, global healing takes place one individual, one tribe, at a time. What story are you living? How do you choose to remember your story? There is a Native American parable about a grandfather who says, I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one." When asked which wolf will win the fight in his heart, the old man replies, "The one I feed." How do we learn to "feed" the stories that heal?
