The driver hit a gas pump as he was leaving the station. The SUV was dragging the pump's hose.

An officer at 10:46 a.m. on July 31 spotted a vehicle in a parking lot on Lake Avenue with a broken-out window. The vehicle identification number indicated the car was reported as stolen out of Cleveland.
